Now, heartbreakingly, we are on the very last season of The Office, US version.
I am emotionally invested in this programme and it’s characters. I waited for, what seemed like years, for Jim and Pam to finally admit their love. A relationship that is so full of chemistry it leaves you a little sad that in the ninth season Jam (Jim and Pam) are losing their spark.
Now I really don’t want Jim and Pam to lose each other, since I’ve invested so much time willing their relationship to succeed. So, I’m hoping for a classic Ross and Rachel moment. A romantic ultimatum that will, hopefully, end well.
However, the show is really good at exceeding expectation and misleading you with it’s story lines. The show may be many things but predictable is certainly not one of them.
Although I am sad to see the show is ending, it really isn’t the same without the legendary Michael Scott (Steve Carell). His presence is sorely missed within the show, although Erin does fill in the awkwardness she is still only 10% on Michael Scott. Steve Carell really carried the show but with his absence other characters have been given more screen time, not a bad thing at all. I was hoping for a comeback Michael Scott episode, seeing as we’re on episode 19, I doubt that’ll happen. Still, here’s hoping.
I’m waiting rather in-patiently for the season to end and I will, like most Office fans, cry and try to move on.
